Durham Christmas Fair update....

Another great weekend at The Christmas Fair at New College, Durham.

"Grace" from Falconry Days and her handler Derek greeted the visitors at the entrance,

There were food gadget demonstrations,

And theatrical food preparations....

Lots of samples....

Amazing textile art...

And Christmas gifts galore.....

The Huge Christmas Gift and Food Fair returns once again to New College, Durham on....

 A fabulous Christmas shopping experience.... 

With over 100 stands of Art, Photography, Handmade Crafts, Gifts and Food meandering their way through the spacious, College malls....

New College, Durham is located just off the A167 at Framwellgate Moor, North of the City Centre.

 With easy access, huge, free car park and good food and coffee served all weekend by Costa Coffee, The Christmas Fair will provide a great opportunity for some relaxing Christmas shopping.

Gift and Food Fair @ Rheged.....

Now in its 6th year.....

Rival Arts returns to Rheged, Penrith, Cumbria, CA11 0DQ for The Christmas Gift and Food Fair on....Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October 2013

With two Exhibition Halls of Crafts, Gifts, Art, Photography and Food....

And Sarah Peel from Cumbria will be doing her Craft workshops for young and old alike...

The ideal opportunity to buy those early Christmas presents for the well organised amongst you.... or just an Autumnal treat for yourself, friends or family.

Open 10am to 4pm daily 

Admission FREE.

As always donations to The Great North Air Ambulance at the door would be most welcome for this important Charity organisation.

Summer Fair @ Hexham....

The Summer Fair @ Hexham returns to Wentworth Leisure Centre, Hexham, Northumberland for its fifth year on 

FRIDAY 16th August & SATURDAY 17th August  2013

( Please note the change of days )

Open from 10am daily

This year a special entrance will be created to the Indoor Marquee beside the Bowling / Cafe entrance...

thus eliminating the long walk through the Leisure Centre from the main entrance.

Art, Craft, Gift and Food stalls to browse,

 Cool crafting workshops with Sarah Peel....for the inner creative, 

Young and old.

Cafe all weekend,

Bowling and swimming for the energetic,

And of course the historic market town of Hexham to explore.

Whatever the weather....we will be under cover!

Lowther Castle and Gardens

 The spectacular setting of Lowther Castle and Gardens, Penrith, Cumbria ( on the edge of The Lake District ) will be the venue for the Rival Arts May Fair on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May 2013.

Two, large marquees with power will be erected in the newly refurbished stable courtyard...

And the Clock tower restaurant will serve delicious homemade food all weekend.

Work is still on-going in the Castle itself, restoring and consolidating the building with traditional materials and skilled craftsmen,

Yet parts have been ideal for atmospheric fashion shoots.

The extensive gardens offer the chance to discover different "rooms"....not manicured, but open to exploration of how they once were in days gone by.

With woods, hidden ponds, summerhouses and terrific views over Cumbria.... Lowther Castle is a magical place to visit, having been hidden away to the public for 70 years.

Lots to see, taste and buy with over 130 stands in the indoor marquee and ancillary rooms

A great place to do your Christmas shopping....all under one roof, warm and dry, with the huge Wentworth car park right outside. 

Finally, we are not sure who will be "meeting and greeting" at the entrance this weekend....it could be Caspar the spectacled owl....

Or Sneugal the Snowy Owl.....
